When I find fabrics at thrift or antique stores that I want to use in my quilts, I begin the process of cleaning them up with Retro Clean. This cleaning powder safely removes discoloration, water damage, mildew, etc from these fabrics and truly brings them back to life! I share a little bit of my cleaning process in this post. My best advice in using this project is patience. I have soaked pieces for up to 48 hours before I really felt I’d gotten them clean. (You should read all the instructions and decide what is best for your fabrics. Watch closely for colorfastness and and unwanted changes in the fabrics while soaking.)
This 4 oz. bag is the perfect size to use on a small pile of linens to see the magic for yourself.
