Loretta Gould is a Mi’kmaq quilter and painter who loves bright, beautiful colors. She was born in 1976 and grew up on the Waycobah First Nation.
Loretta’s career started as a quilter, but in 2010 she decided to make art quilts. After 2013 Loretta started painting after her machine broke down. Since then, Loretta has painted beautiful pieces and sold them in countries such as Germany, Finland and others.
The Mi’kmaq artist sees her art as a way to communicate her feelings and express them in fabric for her quilts and acrylic mediums for her canvases.
Loretta’s dream is to share her art around the world.
